This is a brief introduction to the people who are most important to me and to whom I'll refer throughout the blog. The codenames seem sort of silly.
Lizzle - Yours truly.
The Important People
Mom and Dad - The two most important people in my life. I go to them for everything, and between them, I think I have the resources to solve life's Big Questions.
K - The big sister who gives me advice on living and what to do with my life. While I was still living at home, we would exchange words of the day because we are both logophiles.
J-Chan - The unfair nickname for the big brother that thinks the way I do. He's a very caring older brother who will indulge me most of the time. He gives advice ad nauseum, like most older siblings.
Dandy - Another unfair nickname for the other big brother. He is the family philosopher. He would more aptly be named "Descartes," but I like Dandy better. To me, he's really Dandelion.
Cousinlings - There is a whole horde of them, so I shall be referring to them collectively. It's more fun that way.
Other Important People
Reesie - Closest friend from high school. The universe does not like our friendship: we once went a whole year without seeing each other in-person. I'm away from home most of the time, but she's still here. When I come home, she's off gallivanting and having adventures. The nerve of that girl, sheesh.
Millian - Other closest friend from high school.
Tzak - Other other closest friend from high school.
Zil - I went to college with Zil! Also yet another close friend from high school.
Important Collegiate People
Lala - She makes other people happy to know her and just be around her! We were roomies our first year of college. She buoys up my days.
Boudica - Boudica was my roommate the second year of college! She was the messy one, I was the clean one in our room. With an attitude, wit, and ability to quote popular culture that makes up for everything lacking in her vertical aptitude, I don't know what I'd do without Boudica.
Morwen - Basically the most coolest person ever on the planet. She indulges my love of "Avatar: The Last Airbender," and she and Tex introduced me to "Red vs. Blue" and gave me yet another reason to watch BSG.
Tex - Basically the other most coolest person ever on the plant.
Tiger Lilly - She sings, she fights for social justice, and knows just about everything you could ever want to know about Harry Potter (among many other things) - all while wearing Disney princess shirts and pastel skirts.
The Doctor - Every blog needs a Doctor, as well as a pop-culture guru in-residence. The Doctor and Boudica go at it every now and then, and I was recently reprimanded at dinner the other night for thinking the 90s movie with Shaq was "Shazaam" and not "Kazaam."
Midori - We bond over funnel cake, Patty's, and sitting in parks or on beaches. And driving places. She's my go-to Church buddy (ha ha, clean double-entendre). She's graduated and will be sorely missed; thank goodness friendships can transcend the bounds of geography and academical leaning/institution.
Coyote - Another Church buddy. He knows everything about everything, basically; if I were ever to go on Family Feud, I'd want him on my team.
The Spain Crew - A group of really wonderful people, including Church and work people. I learned how to get along in a foreign country with them, and did some good adventuring with some of them. Read about it!
The Scotland Set - Also a group of wonderful people, including Church and uni/program people. I'm sensing a pattern in my sets of acquaintances... They made my experience in Scotland what it was: wonderful. Read about it!
